This Privacy Policy explains how Broadsight Connect (Broadsight LLC, "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you call or text a Broadsight Connect number or use our service.
What This Covers
Broadsight Connect is an AI-powered voice and SMS service that helps businesses handle incoming calls and text messages. When someone calls or texts a Broadsight Connect number, our AI agent answers, triages the request, and routes it to the right person.
What We Collect
Information You Give Us
- Phone number — the number you call from or text to, and the number you ask us to text
- Call recordings and transcripts — calls to Broadsight Connect lines are recorded and transcribed to process your request. This is a core feature of the service: every call is recorded by design
- SMS messages — text conversations are stored to maintain continuity and respond to your requests
- Request details — the content of requests you submit by phone, text, or web form
- Account preferences — settings you configure, such as contact preferences (name, address, preferred contact method)
Information Collected Automatically
- Call metadata — caller number, call duration, time of call
- Usage data — features used, pages visited within the app
- Device information — browser type, operating system (for web app)
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide the service — answer calls, route requests, respond to text messages, maintain conversation history
- Send status updates — notify you about the progress of your service requests
- Authenticate administrators — send one-time passcodes to verify identity for admin features
- Improve the service — analyze call patterns and maintain quality
- Meet legal obligations — maintain records as required by law
Automated Decision-Making
Our service uses AI agents to answer calls, classify and route requests, and generate summaries. These automated decisions are part of how the service is delivered. You may request human review of a decision affecting you by contacting us.
SMS Communications
We may send SMS/MMS messages to respond to your messages, send you status updates about your requests, or send one-time passcodes you request.
- Opt in — you may consent to text messages verbally during a call, through a web form, or by initiating a text conversation with one of our lines. Consent is never a condition of purchasing any product or service.
- Opt out — reply STOP to any text message to stop future messages from that line. You will receive one confirmation message. Reply HELP for assistance.
- Frequency — message frequency varies; in general we send only a small number of messages per week, and only in response to your requests or to update you on them.
- Costs — message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
Call Recording
Broadsight Connect calls may be recorded and transcribed. We do this to:
- Ensure accurate routing of requests
- Maintain a record of what was discussed
- Improve our AI agent
Call participants will be notified that the call may be recorded at the beginning of each conversation.
Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses minimal cookies: essential cookies (session management, security) and analytics cookies (Google Analytics, with opt-out available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising.
Data Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Call audio is stored in encrypted object storage and call records in encrypted database storage. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel and service providers acting under our instructions.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won't be shared with any third parties. Mobile information and messaging opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may share data with:
- Service providers — hosting and cloud infrastructure providers, Twilio (telephony and SMS infrastructure), and AI/voice processing providers. These providers process data under our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.
- Designated recipients — if you submit a request, relevant details are shared with the recipient(s) your organization has designated to handle it, so the request can be resolved
- Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect rights and safety
Data Retention
- Call audio (recordings) — retained for 90 days from the end of the call, then automatically deleted
- Call transcripts — retained indefinitely to maintain continuity and service-request records; deletion available on request
- SMS messages — retained for the duration of your account plus 30 days
- Account data — retained until you request deletion
- Opt-out records — retained so we can honor your choice
You can request deletion of your data at any time. We'll process your request within 30 days.
Data Location
Your information is stored on servers located in the United States.
Business Transfers
If Broadsight Connect is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Identity Verification
Before honoring access, correction, or deletion requests, we may take steps to verify your identity where applicable. For requests made by phone or SMS, verification is tied strictly to proof of ownership of the phone number, such as a one-time passcode sent to that number via SMS.
Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Correction — request corrections to inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your data
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
To exercise these rights, contact privacy@broadsight.io.
Children's Privacy
Broadsight Connect may be used in homes and other settings where children may be present. If a child under 13 calls or texts a Broadsight Connect number, their information may be collected as part of the interaction (voice recording, transcript, phone number) just as any other user's would be.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
